Dr Brooke Wade

Osteopath

Brooke has always held a keen interest in the human body and medicine and is passionate about providing the very best care to all her patients so they can live their best life.

From her nearly 20 years playing and umpiring netball, she has seen (and experienced) first-hand how much of an impact pain and injuries can have on the body, mind, as well as soul.

Whether a condition is recent or long term, Brooke is passionate about working with her patients to set goals for recovery so they can take back control of their health.

Brooke graduated from Southern Cross University with a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Clinical Science (Osteopathic Studies).

In a past life, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management and eventually found her way to osteopathy via working as a concierge in Sydney for 7 years (she might share one or two of her crazy stories from those days).

Brooke incorporates an array of techniques to treat patients, ranging from osteopathy in the cranial field (also known as craniosacral therapy), Barral visceral manipulation, and joint manipulation.

Through undertaking post graduate courses in the above fields of interest, she has developed a  special interest in treating the symptoms and mechanical drivers involved in conditions such as headaches, POTS, Chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia and IBS. All these conditions can involve dysregulation of the Autonomic Nervous System, impaired lymphatic/glymphatic drainage as well as restrictions within the body’s hard frame impacting optimal function. This osteopathic approach is, in most instances undertaken in collaboration with GPs who have an interest in these conditions as well as other allied health practitioners.

In 2024 she undertook training to become a licensed Perrin technique practitioner, which is the osteopathic treatment model of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome created by Dr Raymond Perrin DO, PhD.

Brooke’s plan for treatment always begins with a discussion with her patients because it’s important that everyone has full control of their healthcare and no two patients are ever the same.

Brooke also assists the lecturers in the Southern cross university Osteopathic program , providing her valuable knowledge and recourses to assist the education of the osteopathic students.
